CT-6382T Integrated Access Device from Comtrend Supports VoIP, WiFi, Ethernet, ADSL2+ and Cordless Phone.
An Integrated Access Device (IAD) called CT-6382T for both home and office use have just been launched from Comtrend corp, a leading supplier of broadband, voip and data networking equipment.
With this device wifi compatible WLAN internet access, long distance/local voip calling with conventional PSTN phone back-up, cordless phone that connects using DECT technology ,all delivered via high speed ADSL2+ standards over a standard phone line can be achieved.
CT-6382T provides exceptional deployment and management support for service provider and its TR-68 compliant which makes it possible for the end users to easily install and configure it themselves, also there is a remote management and configuration for the service providers since its also TR-69 compliant.
It offers simplicity, power and convenience that is unique to residential gateways. Andrew Morton, Comtrend's general manager said: “this device still support Tripleplay and home networking with Ethernet/wifi 802.11g, in-built voip capability is compatible with the leading voip softswitches on the market. Its foreign Exchange office (FXO) function enables users to still use their normal PSTN for phone calls if they lose their broadband service.
With CT-6382T which have so many functions, service providers can save on deployment costs and avoid dealing with multiple devices or confusing cabling.
On the cordless Handset support, it offers emergency calls, caller ID hiding, call hold/forwarding/waiting, 3-way conferencing, direct no dialling, video and data services, QoS features and port based VLANs for full support of voice. It can also be connected via foreign exchange station (FXS) port on the back.
On the Ethernet wireless connections, ADSL2+ standards allows connecting speed for up to 24mbps. It supports the 802.11g wireless standard and its backward compatible with the 802.11b wireless standard. It support 64 and 128 bit WEP data encryption over the WLAN, VPN pass through and has a day time parental control feature.
